EA Rickrolls Yahtzee

Yahtzee was jolly angry at the package that Ea sent him today, but don't vex – that was the whole point.

It seemed pretty obvious that the awkward loge addressed to Yahtzee had something to do with Dante's Inferno, presented that the inside of the lid read "The Fifth Circle of Netherworld Is Close." Members of The Escapist staff crowded around the box, eager to find out what was internal. We were passably bemused to find out nothing just a small gunny bundle containing prophylactic goggles and a ball peen hammer.

Then the music began, and IT all became horrifically clear.

"Never Gonna Give You Up…"

We all got a worthy chuckle as we complete that EA had just managed to Rickroll Yahtzee finished the ring armou, but our laughter quickly died out when we discovered that closing the box didn't close off the song. Yahtzee looked at us, so at the box, then at the hammer in his hand.

And then he got to work.

Burly connected the goggles (he is nothing if not conscientious approximately safety), atomic number 2 set nigh groovy the box. Atomic number 2 had to break through three layers of Grant Wood, bones, and insects, but he finally got to the sound corner's gumption and yanked out one of the batteries. He also found a small scroll that had been tucked into the dulcet workings, which read:

The sin of ire is yours. You have succumbed to anger and agaze an infernal spring that seethes with dark waters. Quelled not, your anger begot rage. The waters have up unchecked and ye will be drowned in stinking mire.

Break down to Hell.

Ok, soh the note is a bit ham-handed, but I'm still giving this round of Dante's Inferno packaging a thumbs ahead for overall creativity and cleverness. Besides, it's not every Clarence Shepard Day Jr. you get to meet Yahtzee smash something to bits with a power hammer.
